Ultrasonic Rhinoplasty and Septoplasty for Dorsum Preservation and for Dorsum Structural Reconstruction<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n

This article describes the different short and long piezoelectric instruments required for ultrasonic rhinoplasty and ultrasonic septoplasty for all dorsum preservation procedures and for the structural management of the dorsum in the open or closed approaches. It describes also the different preservation techniques and structural reshaping techniques of the dorsum with these instruments.<\/p>\n

I have been developing these inserts for open ultrasonic rhinoplasty<\/a> since 2013, then long inserts for closed ultrasonic rhinoplasty and ultrasonic septoplasty since 2016. It was on the occasion of the development of these long inserts that I organized with the help of Peter Palhazi a 2-day study session in Budapest in July 2016 with Yves Saban and Baris Cakir.<\/p>\n

Baris discovered on this occasion the Dorsum preservation technique by Push Down and it has been the starting point for his integration of dorsum preservation techniques in rhinoplasty. Yves Saban and\u00a0 Baris Cakir with the help of Peter Palhazi, Rollin Daniel, then G\u00f6ksel, Milos Kovacevic, Charles East,\u00a0 Carlos Neves then a little later Valerio Finocchi, Aaron Kosins, and finally Dean Toriumi, Sam Most and other surgeons have been the driving forces behind the spread and popularization of preservation rhinoplasty techniques.<\/p>\n

Several surgeons in\u00a0 South and Central America were also pioneers in dorsum preservation. All are to be thanked for their contribution to the advancement of rhinoplasty<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n
